Cold Weather Painting Now colder weather doesn't have to be an issue when doing exterior painting. While most conventional paints must be applied above 55 degrees fahrenheit, cold weather paints are designed to resist moisture, frosting, and blistering in temperatures as low as 35 degrees. They're safe for most any surface, and can be applied just like conventional paint, with a roller or brush.
